Post-post improv

I met Tatu when he was playing with Elifantree, a trio led by Pauli Lyytinen who plays saxophone in my quartet, eCsTaSy. Once, after hearing him make music on kitchen utensils as part of a "Tatu plays your kitchen" series, I asked him to join me in a studio the next day where we immediately discovered a strong connection. This led to a string of duo gigs in which I brought out my guitar synthesizer as a new orchestral element which allowed us to move freely between Ice Hockey organ fanfares and Gamelan rituals, all done very seriously, tongue-in-cheek. I especially love not being limited by a purely jazz idiom, and the music we make surprises us too!
